DO assess the environmental impact of the materials and energy you use, the waste and emissions you produce, your transport operations and the products you supply.

DON’T be tempted to skimp on insurance - ensure you are comprehensively insured against environmental risks.

DO survey your clients/customers, suppliers and employees, to find what they want.

DON’T neglect to publicise your green credentials - on your website, intranet and/or blog - it could be a valuable retention and attraction tool.

DO consider the impact on the environment before committing to new projects.

DON’T use wasteful processes and equipment - instead strive to improve wherever possible.

DO ensure that any emissions including noise/dust are minimised or eliminated.

DON’T dump waste carelessly or illegally.

DO take advantage of free help - at Fluid we recommend contacting the Environment Agency, the Carbon Trust and/or Business Link.

DON’T forget to check that your appointed waste collector is registered to handle your waste and disposes of such items in the correct manner.
